Claim Bands

The S-Model Atlas uses claim bands to separate intuition, symbolic structure, bridge hypotheses, measurable comparison, and admitted physical claims.

This page exists to prevent category errors. A symbolic structure is not a physical measurement. A bridge is not a theorem. A proxy is not a prediction. A non-scoring rehearsal is not a fit. A theological grammar is not empirical proof. The purpose of this discipline is not to weaken the model, but to make its claims readable, testable, and intellectually honest.

Why Claim Bands Matter

The S-Model begins from a central intuition: reality is not an empty mechanism, but a structured field of meaning, relation, boundary, persistence, and transformation. This intuition can generate symbolic maps, theological grammars, operator structures, bridge hypotheses, and possible physical test surfaces.

These layers must not be collapsed into one another. A meaningful pattern may suggest a physical bridge, but it does not automatically become a physical law. A structural correspondence may guide research, but it is not yet a measurement. A numerical rehearsal may expose tension or alignment, but it is not a statistical claim unless the required data, covariance, uncertainty model, and admissible likelihood structure are present.

Every object in the Atlas should answer three questions:

  • What kind of object is this?
  • What is it allowed to support?
  • What is it forbidden to become without additional evidence?

The Claim Band Scale

Important reading rule

The band numbers are not a simple ladder of “more true” or “more sacred.” They are a public handling system. Band 3 is a specialized symbolic / theological grammar track inside the lower construction layers; it is not a stronger empirical evidence level than structural construction.

Band 0 — Orientation

Role: intuition, framing, direction of thought

This band contains the initial orientation of a research line: a guiding question, philosophical motive, or interpretive pressure. It may suggest where to look, but it does not yet define a model, object, bridge, or test.

Allowed: motivation, conceptual framing, research direction.

Not allowed: physical prediction, theorem, proof, or empirical claim.

Band 1 — Concept

Role: named idea with a defined purpose

A concept is a stabilized idea with a clear role. It may define a problem, a distinction, a proposed relation, or a possible bridge. It is still not a construction unless its internal objects and relations are specified.

Allowed: conceptual distinctions, research vocabulary, route proposals.

Not allowed: claims of implementation, measurement, or validation.

Band 2 — Structural Construction

Role: explicit internal object or architecture

A structural construction has defined components, relations, and internal logic. Examples include operator layers, gate decompositions, symbolic grammars, or typed maps. Such constructions can be mathematically or architecturally meaningful without being physical observables.

Allowed: internal consistency, formal mapping, typed decomposition.

Not allowed: promotion to physical field, physical coefficient, or measured law.

Band 3 — Symbolic / Theological Grammar Track

Role: specialized structural grammar, not a stronger evidence level

This band includes symbolic and theological materials when they are used as structural grammars rather than empirical data sources. For example, Sefer Yetzirah may be used to study relations between number, letter, boundary, direction, center, balance, speech, body, time, and cosmos.

This band is powerful, but it has a strict boundary: symbolic grammar can guide interpretation and construction; it does not prove physics.

Allowed: symbolic architecture, theological interpretation, structural analogy.

Not allowed: “physics proven by scripture” or direct empirical substitution.

Band 4 — Bridge Candidate

Role: typed correspondence between S-Model structure and an external domain

A bridge candidate proposes a controlled relation between a sense-side structure and a physical, psychological, theological, computational, or applied domain. A bridge must identify what is being compared, what remains internal, what reaches an observable surface, and what would weaken or falsify the route.

Allowed: testable correspondence, route design, observable-surface proposal.

Not allowed: treating the bridge itself as a confirmed physical law.

Band 5 — Proxy-Only

Role: indirect or reduced observable surface

A proxy is used when the target object cannot yet be measured or modeled directly. Proxy-only work can be useful, but it must remain visibly indirect. A proxy may support diagnostics, comparisons, or route selection, but it cannot be silently upgraded into a direct measurement.

Allowed: limited diagnostics, reduced comparisons, exploratory constraints.

Not allowed: final prediction, direct evidence, or theorem-level conclusion.

Band 6 — Source-Anchored Comparison

Role: comparison grounded in public data, tables, or documented sources

A source-anchored comparison uses identifiable external sources: published tables, public datasets, calibration records, observational summaries, or reproducible files. This band is stronger than a proxy route, but it still depends on what the source actually provides.

A table-level comparison is not raw metrology. A published summary is not automatically a full covariance model. A dataset with missing unit binding must not be treated as if its units were formally certified.

Allowed: source-based comparison, table-level ratio lanes, documented uncertainty use.

Not allowed: raw-data claims, hidden covariance assumptions, or invented precision.

Band 7 — Non-Scoring Observational Rehearsal

Role: structured comparison without likelihood, fit, or final score

A non-scoring rehearsal can assemble observational surfaces and inspect residuals, tensions, directions, or compatibility patterns. It is not a fit. It is not a likelihood. It is not a global validation of the model.

This band is especially important in cosmology and other domains where covariance, selection effects, systematic uncertainty, or cross-block correlations are incomplete.

Allowed: residual rehearsal, tension mapping, non-scoring diagnostics.

Not allowed: global score, parameter fit, statistical detection, or final claim.

Band 8 — Theorem Candidate

Role: route with a possible theorem-level closure, not yet admitted

A theorem candidate has a clear formal target and a plausible route to proof or certification. It must state exactly what would need to be shown, which assumptions are active, and which cases remain outside the result.

Allowed: formal target, proof route, certification checklist.

Not allowed: being cited as an admitted theorem before closure.

Band 9 — Theorem Admitted

Role: formally admitted result within a defined scope

This band is reserved for results whose assumptions, objects, proof route, and scope have been explicitly admitted. A theorem admitted in one local domain does not automatically become a global theory of reality.

Allowed: scoped theorem use within its admitted domain.

Not allowed: universal extension, hidden generalization, or global promotion.

Denied / Blocked

Role: explicit refusal of promotion

Some claims are not merely “unfinished”; they are actively denied under the current evidence state. A denial is not a failure of the Atlas. It is a protection against false precision and premature promotion.

A denied claim may be reopened only if a new admissible object appears: a source-certified dataset, a valid covariance structure, a physical coefficient object, a formal proof, a raw metrology chain, or another route-specific closure condition.

Forbidden Promotions

The following promotions are not allowed inside the S-Model Atlas unless a specific page explicitly provides the missing object, evidence, or proof.

  • A metaphor must not be promoted into a measurement.
  • A symbolic channel must not be promoted into a physical field.
  • A theological grammar must not be promoted into empirical proof.
  • A proxy must not be promoted into a direct observable.
  • A non-scoring rehearsal must not be promoted into a fit, likelihood, or score.
  • A table-level comparison must not be promoted into raw metrology.
  • Missing covariance must not be treated as zero covariance.
  • A local bridge must not be promoted into a global theory.
  • Calibration coordinates must not be promoted into physical observables.
  • A frozen structural route must not be presented as a completed physical prediction.

Current Atlas Guardrails

The current public Atlas is conservative by default. When evidence is missing, the claim remains in the lower band. When a bridge is useful but incomplete, it stays a bridge. When a physical interface is absent, the physical claim is denied rather than implied.

Global R9

Global R9 is not admissible in the current state of the project. Local observational rehearsals may exist, but they do not become a global physical validation.

No Score / No Fit / No Theorem

Many active lanes are explicitly non-scoring. They may organize data, inspect residuals, or define route constraints, but they do not produce a final fit, likelihood, or theorem.

Calibration Coordinates

Symbols such as q, c, φ, μ, and τ are calibration-facing coordinates inside bridge work. They are not physical observables unless a specific admitted interface makes them so.

Symbolic Roots

Symbolic and theological roots may provide deep structural grammar, but they do not replace physical measurement, mathematical proof, or empirical uncertainty control.

Examples of Current Claim Status

Structural Construction

100-Gate Ontology

The 100-gate ontology is treated as a structural construction: 30 core gates, 21 ontic operators, and 49 Binah-layer operators, with Daʿat functioning as an extraction or metagate layer beyond the counted 100.

It is not a physical detector, not a measured field, and not a direct empirical prediction by itself.

Symbolic / Theological Grammar

Sefer Yetzirah Line

The Sefer Yetzirah layer is used as a symbolic grammar of number, letter, boundary, direction, center, body, time, and cosmos. Its 10/22 and 3/7/12 architectures are treated as structural sources for interpretation.

This line does not claim that ancient symbolic material proves modern physics.

Non-Scoring Observational Rehearsal

Cosmology BG+Growth

The cosmology background-plus-growth lane may compare observational surfaces and residual structures in a non-scoring way. It is not a global cosmological fit and does not admit global R9.

Source-Anchored Comparison

Atomic Clock Bridge

The atomic-clock bridge is currently treated as a source-anchored, table-level comparison lane. It may compare published ratios and uncertainty envelopes.

Raw metrology, final reducer status, and theorem-level clock claims are not admitted.

Bridge Candidate

Superconducting Qubit Decoherence

The superconducting-qubit route is treated as an object-level decoherence separation bridge. It may examine calibration drift, T1/T2 surfaces, coherence loss, carrier decay, shell traces, and interface noise.

It is not a quantum theorem, not a hardware reproduction, and not a logical-qubit proof.

Structural-Only / Physical Claim Denied

Flavor / WET Route

The flavor route is currently structural-only. A physical WET coefficient object has not been admitted. Therefore physical Wilson coefficients, WCxf export, RG evolution, meson-mixing observables, and global flavor likelihoods remain denied.

Concept / Bridge Candidate

Black-Hole Singularity Hypothesis

The black-hole singularity route is currently a conceptual and bridge-level hypothesis. It may explore how a closed sense-structure maps onto interior, boundary, entropy, shell, or dark-sector transition language.

It is not yet a GR theorem, not an EHT/LIGO/LISA claim, and not a completed model of black-hole interiors.

How a Claim Moves Upward

A claim does not move upward because it sounds elegant, fits the story, or resembles an existing structure. It moves upward only when the missing object is supplied.

Depending on the route, this may require:

  • a typed mathematical object;
  • a defined bridge interface;
  • a public source surface;
  • a valid uncertainty model;
  • a covariance structure or a justified reason for its absence;
  • a replayable package, manifest, or audit trail;
  • a negative control;
  • a falsification or weakening condition;
  • a theorem-level proof route;
  • or a route-specific physical coefficient, reducer, or metrology chain.

Without the missing object, the claim remains where it is. This is a core rule of the Atlas.

The Principle

The S-Model Atlas is allowed to contain strong ideas and weak claims at the same time.

A strong idea does not need to pretend that it is already proven. A weak claim is not useless if it is typed correctly, bounded honestly, and connected to a possible test. The Atlas grows by preserving this distinction.

The purpose of claim bands is simple: keep the bridges open, keep the categories clean, and prevent the model from becoming either empty mysticism or premature physics.
